Krakus donated $10,000 to the Polish American Congress of Eastern Massachusetts during last year’s Polish Fest Boston to help meet the organization’s fundraising goal for the restoration of Pulaski Park, which sits adjacent to the Polish American Citizens Club on Boston Street in the city’s Polish Triangle. The restoration is expected to be complete by this July. A portion of the park was dedicated to Krakus, the official sponsor of this year’s Polish Fest Boston, with a permanent plaque commemorating the brand’s involvement in the Polish community.

“Krakus is part of our history, and we are thankful for their commitment to support the Polish Community,” said Mark Wisniewski, Polish American Congress of Eastern Massachusetts director. “This park will help us continue to foster Polish tradition and culture for years to come.”

The Polish American Congress is a national umbrella organization representing at least 10 million Americans of Polish descent and origin. The Polish American community prides itself on its deeply rooted commitment to the values of family, faith, democracy, hard work, and fulfillment of the American dream. The Friends of Pulaski Square, a local non-profit, is continuing the mission to raise additional funding for the park with the goal of providing continual funding for the maintenance and upkeep of the park for years to come.

"Krakus takes pride in the significance of Polish history and tradition," said Michael Baughman, Smithfield Foods director of marketing. "We are excited to help dedicate Pulaski Park in the Polish Triangle. We know it will help create a place where families can celebrate and come together."

As part of Krakus’ sponsorship of Polish Fest Boston, the brand treated crowds to delicious Krakus Polish Ham samples, recipes, coupons, and other giveaways during the festival.
