Jamison Rice Joins ABILITY Network as Executive Vice President and CFO


MINNEAPOLIS, June 19, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ABILITY® Network, a leading healthcare information technology company, announced today that Jamison (Jamie) Rice has joined the company as executive vice president and chief financial officer (CFO). In this role Rice will have accountability for leading the company’s Finance, Strategy and Corporate Development functions to advance the long-term growth strategy for ABILITY.

Rice joined ABILITY from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota (BCBSMN) where he held a number of executive leadership positons. Most recently he was EVP and chief administrative officer, responsible for Operations, Strategy, Finance, Enterprise Technology and Business Transformation. Prior to that, he was SVP of Health Plan Operations and chief technology officer, a role in which he led Health Plan Operations, Information Technology and Data Insights. He also served as SVP and CFO, providing leadership for Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Controls & Processes, Tax, Treasury, Actuarial, Underwriting and Corporate Development.

Before joining BCBSMN he was principal and CFO for Yukon Partners Management, LLC, a private investment firm focused on middle-market companies. Earlier in his career he spent eight years at UnitedHealth Group in various leadership roles, including CFO of UnitedHealthcare, VP of Finance for UnitedHealthcare and CFO of UnitedHealth Networks. Rice began his career as a certified public accountant, working for one of the largest accounting firms in the country.

He is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas, with a B.A. degree in Business Administration, Accounting. He is also a board member of Second Harvest Heartland and Make-A-Wish Minnesota.

Rice will be based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
