Barfresh expands to 47 locations within the Pasco County School District and Extends Contract to 5-year Term

New Agreement Expands Product Offerings Across 47 serving Locations to Address Higher Demand

17 New locations will be added and serving product for the beginning of the upcoming school year

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Aug. 02, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Barfresh Food Group, Inc. (OTCQB: BRFH), a manufacturer of frozen, ready-to-blend beverages, today announced that it has expanded its relationship with Pasco County School District in greater Tampa, Florida.  The Company amended its original August 2017 agreement to add 17 more locations for a total of 47 locations and a 5-year term.  Additionally, Barfresh is expanding its product offerings to the District to include its 100% fruit smoothie, which addresses demand for an all-fruit product that also satisfies requirements set forth by the USDA guidelines under its Child Nutrition Program, allowing schools to seek reimbursement for meals served.

Barfresh announced in June of 2018 that it reached agreements representing 200 school locations across multiple states and expects to realize many additional placements in conjunction with the start of the upcoming school year this fall 2018.  The Company continues to receive positive responses from school administrators, similar to its experience in Pasco County, and believes its unique product offering, specialized programs, national distribution footprint and strategic partnerships ensure it is effectively targeting the United States’ nearly 14,000 public school districts, which represent over 98,000 schools.

Riccardo Delle Coste, the Company's CEO stated, "The expanded agreement with Pasco County School District is a great example of what is happening around the country that gives us confidence as we target all 14,000 public school districts throughout the United States.  Based on our success during the past year with Pasco, our new agreement includes; (1) Increasing the number of product offerings across all 47 serving locations, (2) expanding the number of locations being served, and  (3) extending the term of the contract to 5 years!”

Stephanie Spicknall, RD, LD, Food & Nutrition Services Program Manager of Pasco County Schools, commented, “We are thrilled to be expanding the smoothie program with Barfresh! What an exciting opportunity to provide students a clean label product that exceeds expectations for taste! Our Gen Z customers are looking for clean, convenient eating which is exactly what Barfresh is able to provide. The versatility of the products, offered in either dairy or non-dairy, keeps students interested all school year long! In addition, we are proud to offer a fresh, quality product to students who otherwise may never have access if not through the National School Breakfast and Lunch Program.”
