Pursuant to the decisions of the Managing Board of the Company of the 11th October, 2018, and the 2nd November, 2018, as well as the approval granted by the sole shareholder of the Company on the 19th of October, 2018, a conditional share sale-purchase agreement regarding 100 percent of shares and the shareholder claim rights of the wind farm project company in Poland from Wento, was concluded by the Company on the 2nd of November, 2018. The wind farm project is being developed in Poland, with its expected capacity of approximately 50 megawatt (MW). Wento is a developer of solar and wind farm projects in Poland.
On the 15th October, 2018, the Company addressed the Commission for the Protection of Objects of Importance to Ensuring National Security of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter – the Commission) regarding the assessment of the transaction. The Commission adopted a decision not to commence the assessment process of transaction compliance with the interests of national security.
Acquisitions, corresponding to the strategy of the Company, expand and diversify its activities, increase the value of Lietuvos Energija, UAB, Corporate Group, as well as the dividends being paid to the State.
