2018 Tweet Drive Expands to Multiple Cities

9th Annual Holiday Toy Drive Announces Two New Locations

HOUSTON, Nov. 27, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- Tweet Drive Foundation, organizers of the popular annual holiday charity event Tweet Drive, announced today the event’s official expansion to two new cities: Atlanta, GA and Dallas, TX. The two new locations will hold fundraising activities simultaneously with established host cities Denver, CO and Houston, TX, scheduled for December 4, 2018. The expansion comes in response to the event’s resounding success in prior years, with prior Tweet Drive events collecting thousands of toys for children and families in need. All four cities’ events will follow the same format as prior events, with attendees gaining access to event festivities by bringing one new toy donation in support of each city’s selected charitable beneficiary. “Tweet Drive offers of meaningful, engaging way to connect cities, people and donated toys to local non-profits and deserving kids,” says Jeff James, chairman of The Tweet Drive Foundation. “These toys go to children help kids throughout the year as part of our partnership with these amazing community organizations — they are the real heroes. Together, we are an inspirational force for better outcomes that have the power to improve the lives of thousands of kids and their families.”

In Houston, donations will benefit the Snowdrop Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships for pediatric cancer patients and childhood cancer survivors. Meanwhile, Denver donations will benefit the Tennyson Center for Children, which provides support for children who have experienced severe abuse, neglect and trauma. Atlanta will be benefiting The Atlanta Children’s Shelter which is dedicated to helping families overcome issues such as homelessness, domestic violence and job loss to further the family’s ability to become self-sufficient in the long term. Additionally, in Dallas, the donation will benefit both Jonathon’s Place and the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center. While Jonathon’s Place focuses on providing safe and loving homes to children, teens and young adults, the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center works to coordinate the investigations, prosecutions and healing services for cases of child abuse in Dallas County. The event in Houston will take place at McIntyre’s Spirits + Friends, while Dallas will be located at the Steelcase office furniture gallery. Atlanta will be held at Stoddard’s Range and Guns, and Denver’s location will be the Andrew Clark Photography Studio.
