Technology and healthcare converge at Inventures 2019

Calgary conference unveils leading healthcare speakers


Calgary, Alberta, March 26, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Dr. Daniel Kraft is the latest headline speaker announced for Inventures 2019. This world-renowned health system innovator and entrepreneur will focus on the role of technology in revolutionizing healthcare. Featuring more than 200 speakers and 90 sessions over six tracks, Inventures runs June 5-7th in Calgary with extended weekend programming in Banff.

Dr. Kraft is a visionary and advocate for the convergence of technology in healthcare. His expertise spans biotech, exponentials, medicine and neuroscience. He also serves as Faculty Chair for Medicine at Singularity University. He has explored breakthrough discoveries around 3D printing and organ regeneration, point-of-care lab-on-a-chip diagnostics and new gene-based therapies.

Dr. Kraft has multiple scientific publications and medical device, immunology and stem cell related patents through faculty positions with Stanford University School of Medicine and as clinical faculty for the pediatric bone marrow transplantation service at University of California San Francisco. He is the founder of a platform for personalized, data-driven medication called IntelliMedicine­, where a 3D printer designs pills that adapt to our individual needs.

He is Founder and Chair of Exponential Medicine, a program that explores convergent, rapidly developing technologies and their potential in biomedicine and healthcare.  He is an advisor to XPRIZE, Rock Health, Qualcomm Life, Anthem and several healthcare startups.

Dr. Kraft joins two other keynotes, Dr. Temple Grandin, author, autism advocate and pioneer in animal welfare, and Michelle Romanow, serial entrepreneur and Dragon on TV’s Dragon’s Den.
