Photocat to provide leading European Bitumen manufacturer with NOx degrading technology


Photocat to deliver material and technology to  the leading German manufacturer of bitumen membranes.

Photocat has agreed with the leading family owned German bitumen roofing material company, to provide technology and catalyst for their to be launched bitumen brand. The technology offered by Photocat has been through a thorough evaluation against competitors and found to be superior.

As part of the agreement Photocat is installing the technology.  First step; in one of their factory lines in Germany this autumn. The product will be offered to the market place with focus on the environmental benefits of the technology. Especially focused on NOx degradation which is a challenge in many German cities.  

Photocat is pleased to have won the delivery of technology and catalyst to one of the big players in the European bitumen market. With the latest customer for our technology for bitumen membranes, we are now heavily present in the important German market with more than 100 millions sqm of bitumen membranes produced each year. “With our two customers in Berlin and Hamburg, who are both marketing the NOxOFF technology right now, and the present agreement with a global player we see positive on the growth in the NOxOFF bitumen market.  This development is both On the short and long term and we look forward to a long and strong partnership.” Says Michael Humle, CEO and one of founders of Photocat.
