Numerous deals on PCs and PC monitors are typically available on Amazon for Prime Day. You have two options if you are looking to get a desktop computer: buy a pre-built PC from brands such as HP, Dell or ASUS, or build your own custom PC from scratch. It's easier to just get a pre-built computer because you don't have to worry about the compatibility of the different components and you don't have to take the time to assemble it. However, a huge downside to this approach is that you will get an overpriced unit with just decent parts. If you opt to go the custom route, you will have complete control over your build and choose the best parts that you can afford. The downside is that you have to take the time to do some research, and if you don't have the budget to have it assembled in the shop, you have to put the PC together yourself.

Another consideration when getting a PC, either pre-built or customized, is a monitor. This is a lot easier than choosing PC parts as Amazon is flooded with various options to choose from. There are a lot of budget monitor options that are great for simple office work while there are high-end ones as well, usually for gamers, professionals and content creators that want to improve productivity.

Commonly held in July to celebrate Amazon’s founding date, the Amazon Prime Day sale this year is taking place a lot later than usual and a lot closer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
