Charters Additional Capacity for Summer Season


Naersnes, Norway, February 23, 2000 – TGS-NOPEC Geophysical Company (OSLO:TGS) today announced an agreement with Sevmorneftegeofizika (SMNG) to charter SMNG’s 2D seismic vessel M/V Professor Polshkov for a six month period, beginning in April 2000. The agreement also contains provisions for optional extensions of the charter period.

Trommestad, Vice President & General Manager, of TGS-NOPEC’s European Division. “Securing the M/V Professor Polshkov is an important step towards achieving this plan. Having worked very successfully with several SMNG seismic vessels over the past ten years, we are pleased to be able to continue this business relationship.”
