The inexpensive cost of the licenses provides customers with a low barrier-to-entry for exploiting the Nokia WAP Server in order to create secure, company-specific WAP-enabled services and solutions. The licenses permit the use for internal development purposes only.
The demand for the Nokia WAP Server has expanded rapidly. In the first 60 days of availability, it received 15,000 trial downloads. Thus the Nokia WAP Server 1.0 is the world's most recognized WAP server, allowing businesses to fully leverage the power and functionality of existing and new service offerings in a mobile environment.
The developer licenses for the Nokia WAP Server and the Nokia WAP Security Packs will be available from March 1st, 2000.
