As of May 1st, 2000, Tapio Aalto will be responsible for the operations of the Forest Industry business group’s European local office network. The objective is to develop the business group’s local service concept, to expand the office network in the main market areas and to further strengthen Jaakko Pöyry’s market position.
The local offices in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Germany and France will all be reporting to Tapio Aalto. (JP-Engineering Oy, Papes Oy, JP Projektteknik AB, Jaakko Pöyry Norge A/S, Jaakko Pöyry Polska Sp. z.o.o., Jaakko Pöyry Deutschland GmbH and JP Engineering SNC -- please note the new name of the Polish office).
Tapio Aalto will continue as JP-Engineering Oy’s President, reporting to Stefan Antell.
