Nokia clustered IP products internationally deployed by Juniper Networks

Nokia (NYSE:NOK), today announced that Juniper Networks, Inc (NASDAQ:JNPR), a leading provider of next-generation IP infrastructure systems, has moved beyond their initial adoption of Nokia’s clustered IP technology and standardized all of their company sites including Japan, Germany, Amsterdam, Beijing, Hong Kong, United Kingdom and Paris on Nokia's patented CryptoCluster™ technology for secure site-to-site communications. Juniper is leveraging Nokia's clustered IP infrastructure to stimulate international growth, utilizing a reliable, scalable and cost-effective IP-based network that supports their international sales and services divisions.

Nokia recently added this unique clustered IP technology to its product line through the acquisition of Network Alchemy. IP clustering provides non-stop communication and true online scalability, delivering real-time expansion, maintenance and relocation without any downtime. In addition to dynamic load balancing, Nokia provides support for Active Session Failover. Should any member of the cluster become unavailable, the cluster will automatically reassign the active sessions among the remaining members, ensuring no interruption in service.

“Nokia’s clustered IP technology has enabled reliable and seamless expansion into overseas markets,” said John Jendricks, VP of business development, Juniper Networks. “By utilizing Nokia's CryptoCluster VPN gateways, we can scale to serve our growing overseas markets.”

"As Juniper expands their business presence internationally, their challenge is to support globally dispersed operations in locations with little existing network infrastructure," said Kenny Frerichs, Vice President and General Manager, Nokia Clustered IP Solutions, a business unit within Nokia Internet Communications. “By standardizing their global operations on our Clustered IP technology, Juniper will effectively scale their international locations with the most reliable, secure and cost-effective IP-based infrastructure available.”
