APPOINTMENTS IN LATIN AMERICA AND SWEDEN
The establishment of Jaakko Pöyry Group-controlled operations in Latin America has created a need to improve the co-operation within this region and to control operations locally. These operations must be integrated into the Jaakko Pöyry Group to take advantage of the emerging business opportunities. This need is further strengthened by plans to establish certain Infrastructure and Energy business operations in Latin America.
For the period of integration and development, a matrix organisation will be established, which will be reporting to Teuvo Salminen, Executive Vice President of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj.
Maris Tamsons, currently president of JP Projektteknik AB, has been appointed Vice President, Latin America, for this period of integration and development, starting in September.
Pekka Eskelinen, Vice President (Eastern Finland) of JP-Engineering Oy, has been appointed President of JP Projektteknik AB. He will be reporting to Tapio Aalto, who is responsible for the operations of the Forest Industry business group’s European local office network.
Pekka Eskelinen will also continue as a member of JP-Engineering’s management group, though assisted by his deputy Juha Sipilä, Manager of the Kouvola office.
