The Ministry of Cultural Affairs today released an English version of the invitation to tender nationwide terrestrial television broadcasting licence in Norway.

TV 2 is Norway’s largest commercial television channel, and until the end of 2002 it has exclusive rights on nationwide television broadcasting in Norway financed through advertising. Schibsted owns 33.3% of TV 2. TV 2 has announced that they will apply for the licence.
