Sika to sell shoe adhesive activities to Forbo

Subject to the approval of the antitrust authorities, Forbo-Helmitin, Pirmasens (Germany) is to acquire the Shoe Adhesive Division of Sika Tivoli, Hamburg (Germany) with effect from 1 July 2001. This Division generated sales of about DM 2 million in fiscal 2000. It is part of Sika Tivoli, in which Sika acquired a majority stake in mid 2000. Sika Tivoli is now focusing on its core business structural bonding and lamination technology.
