Citadon Introduces Next Generation Product: Citadon CW

Citadon CW Delivers Enterprise-Class Collaboration Workspaces for the Design, Construction and Maintenance of Large, Complex Capital Projects; Milestone in Citadon's Strategy to Focus on Power, Oil and Gas, Process Plant and Transportation Infrastructure Markets

HOUSTON, Jan. 28, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Citadon, Inc., the leading provider of online software solutions for collaboration on the design, construction and operation of large, complex capital projects, announced at the daratechPlant2002 conference today, the introduction of their next generation product, Citadon CW(tm). Designed specifically to meet the needs of enterprises with capital works programs that involve complex engineering and construction projects, Citadon CW builds upon Citadon's five years of experience in delivering online project collaboration solutions.

Designed from the ground up, Citadon CW uses industry standards, such as XML and SOAP, and incorporates proven and robust technology from Oracle, MatrixOne, Verity and BEA Systems. Citadon CW is built using a component and services based architecture which provides the scalability, mission-critical reliability, and enterprise integration required by our most demanding customers.

In designing Citadon CW, Citadon solicited guidance from its Customer Council, which includes industry leaders such as Bechtel, Fluor, Duke Energy and GE Power Systems.

As a complete collaboration solution, Citadon CW fully integrates business process automation with comprehensive online document management and team communication. The new Citadon CW application delivers:

-- Increased flexibility through fully customizable forms and
workflows, enabling customers to create forms and workflows that
    automate their unique business processes

-- A choice of user interfaces; a new Windows-based interface that
delivers performance and productivity features not available
through Internet browsers, and a browser-based interface for
access from any PC with an Internet connection

-- Organizational workspaces, in addition to project workspaces, that
allow organizations within a company to manage documents and
business processes specific to each division, business unit or
    department

-- Additional deployment options, including data segregation, where
each customer's data can be stored separately

-- A powerful and comprehensive online document management system
that includes new innovative solutions such as the ability to link
related documents together via Binders, and set the links to
either automatically update whenever the underlying documents
change, or be static, creating a snapshot of those documents

-- New robust search capabilities, including full text search within
    documents

"A primary driver for the decision to develop this new product was to meet our customer's demands for integration with their other enterprise applications, and to provide the flexibility to configure forms and workflows that are company or project specific," described Ashok Segu, Citadon's Chief Technology Officer. "Citadon CW incorporates powerful XML/SOAP based application programming interfaces (APIs) which enable our enterprise customers to exchange data and events between their shared workspaces within Citadon CW and their other enterprise applications. Citadon CW incorporates a powerful new business process engine that allows customers to model almost any kind of workflows and apply them across all of their organizations and projects."

"Citadon CW represents a significant investment in leveraging everything we have learned over the past five years into a next generation product that fully integrates business process automation and online document management," said Bernard Fried, Citadon's CEO. "Our top customers have been closely involved in every aspect of defining product requirements, reviewing specifications, validating features and Beta testing to ensure that Citadon CW satisfies their current and planned needs for online collaboration services. No other product provides a solution that is as complete as ours or offers the domain specific functionality of Citadon CW."

The introduction of Citadon CW is a significant part of the company's strategy to focus on the power, oil and gas, process plant and transportation infrastructure industries. Citadon's experience, blue-chip customer list and robust product offerings attracted recent funding from Warburg Pincus, GE Capital, ICG and Bechtel.
