It has come to the knowledge of Jaakko Pöyry Group Oyj that Mr. Harri Piehl, M.Sc. Eng., (61) will be proposed as a new member of the Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, March 6, 2002. Shareholders owning at least 20 per cent of the shares and voting rights of the company are in favour of the proposal. The person in question has given his consent to the nomination.
Since 1996 Harri Piehl has acted as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of JP Operations Management Ltd Oy, a Jaakko Pöyry Group company. In 1991-1996 Harri Piehl was Kymmene Corporation's Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors.
Niilo Pellonmaa (61) has announced that he will resign from his position as member of Jaakko Pöyry Group's Board of Directors. He has been a member of the Board of Directors since 1996.
