STOCKHOLM, Sweden, May 03, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telia Mobile transfers 31 of the company's Telia stores in Finland to TeleMaaria Oy as part of streamlining the retail operations.
The transferred Telia stores are represented at places in Finland outside of Telia Mobile's GSM 1800-network coverage. Telia Mobile continues its sales via the remaining 54 stores in Finland.
"The transfer is part of Telia Mobile's streamlining of its operations in Finland. With the transfer of stores outside of our GSM 1800-network, we're now able to focus and expand our sales in areas within Telia Mobile's coverage," said Erik Hallberg, Acting Head of Telia Mobile Finland.
Telia Mobile owns and operates a GSM 1800-network covering the main cities in Finland including Helsinki, Turku, Tampere, Oulu, Jyvaskyla and Lahti with more than 2.5 million inhabitants.
