Teleca Continues to Focus on R&D -- Sells Sandberg Trygg

MALMO, Sweden, May 6, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Teleca intends to sell Business-to-Business agency SandbergTrygg to Bure Equity. The sale is part of Teleca's focus on R&D.

"The sale is part of Teleca's focus on R&D, which means that Teleca concentrates its power on developing the products and systems of tomorrow and becoming Europe's leading consulting company within R&D and new technology," said Joachim Jaginder, CFO of Teleca.

SandbergTrygg is a leading player within market communications with focus on business-to-business. The company has offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Malmo and Hong Kong with approximately 80 employees.

The buyer is Bure Equity, a growth and knowledge company focusing on investing in, developing and structuring companies, which have the potential to become leading enterprises in their respective sectors.

SandbergTrygg's results are consolidated in the Teleca Group through March.

A sale has been taken into account in Teleca's acquisition of AU-System, thus there will be no effect on the result, or in goodwill or equity, in the Teleca Group. The pre-tax result in SandbergTrygg during 2001 was SEK -21.2 M including goodwill write-down and amortisation of SEK 12 M. The payment for the assets in SandbergTrygg is book value plus SEK 15 M. There could be an additional payment based on SandbergTrygg's results during 2002 and 2003.
