Ossur hf. selected for the Portfolio of One of Scandinavia?s Largest Investment Companies

The Swedish investment company, Industrivärden, has bought a 15% stake in Ossur hf.  The sellers are Kaupthing Bank hf., Mallard Holding S.A., owned by Ossur Kristinsson, and Ossur hf.
 
"This is a major milestone for Ossur hf.", says Ossur President & CEO Jon Sigurdsson. "We have been making systematic efforts to place the Company on a footing that makes it an attractive option for a broader range of investors. This will help us in the future to gain access to sufficient capital to realise our growth strategy".
 
Industrivarden's investment is an encouraging development for Ossur's management and a confirmation of the fact that the Company has attracted the attention of one of the most respected Nordic investors which is ready to add value to the company through active ownership "Promoting the Company among foreign investors takes a lot of effort and we have taken active measures to remove obstacles that foreign investors have pointed out. The company's financial reporting is already in USD and another important step will be taken at a shareholders' meeting on June 6th, when shareholders will be asked to approve a conversion of Össur stock from ISK to USD.".
