Net Insight recruiting In Paris to intensify European market presence and penetration

The recruitment is part of Net Insight's increased focus on media dedicated networks for professional applications that successfully is introduced to the major European operators. With a platform enabling transmission of uncompressed digital video, together with QoS IP traffic and voice in large networks, Net Insight has quickly established a position as leading supplier of real-time solutions for the media industry.

Hervé Cadieu recently worked as Sales Director at 360 Networks France. His previous experiences from the networking industry include key sales positions at MFN France, COLT France and Kaptech.

"The development and standardization of our technology have been closely followed by leading operators and media companies in Europe. Now it is time to approach the market vertically and Hervé's deep knowledge of the network industry will give us a head start", says Tomas Duffy, CEO, Net Insight AB.

Helping operators find new revenues
Hervé Cadieu will work from Paris focusing on the sales and marketing of broadband solutions for the professional media industry and next generation metro solutions for carriers and Internet Service Providers.

Initially, market focus will be concentrated on the media segment, with network solutions for operators that wants to generate new revenues by offering premium services for professional video transport.

"Net Insight's platform is truly market-leading in the video transport segment. No other solutions can carry uncompressed video together with compressed IP video, audio and best effort data in large networked environments. Point-to-point solutions or legacy transmission simply cant deliver with economy, and IP networks can't guarantee the quality of service", says Hervé Cadieu.

Net Insight also develops solutions for efficient metro network aggregation and QoS access networks. With highly granular TDM-based (Time Division Multiplexing) technology, it is possible to heal the shortcomings of both legacy transmission and quality of service problems in IP networks. Net Insight's technology allows for a big move forward to solve the drawbacks of legacy infrastructure, and prepare it for the introduction of next generation broadband services without forklift upgrades.

"With a platform that is able to increase utilization in legacy transmission networks and offer guaranteed QoS abilities and generic multicast to IP networks, it is possible to turn the slowed-down broadband market around. Operators can start introducing the demanding real-time services everybody only have talked about", says Hervé Cadieu.

More about Net Insight's platform
Net Insight's platform is based on the newly standardized DTM technology (Dynamic synchronous Transfer Mode). DTM can act as underlying transport protocol for all types of services, including Ethernet, SDH/Sonet and DWDM transmission, digital video over ASI (Asynchronous Serial Interface) or SDI (Serial Digital Internface), and E1/T1 voice traffic.

DTM has the ability to divide network capacity into 0.5 Mbps channel segments that can be combined together to form service channels in any size from 0.5 Mbps up to line speed. As the technology is connection oriented the transport can always be guaranteed, even under high network load. The granularity of the DTM channel segments, and the ability to set up channels asymmetrically, secures optimized network utilization.
