Robert Real, President of Americas & Americas, Inc., and his wife Lorraine, a public school teacher, designed a 9.11 commemorative flag to be used as a fundraiser and to build awareness of this tragic day.
This flag instantly generated a positive response from local fire and police departments, and their families and friends. The flag is based on the colors and stripes of our National flag with the New York skyline/WTC depicted in the blue field.
After consulting with lawyers and the U.S. Patent office, Flags On Cars decided to seek a patent for this commemorative flag logo. After one month of selling the 9.11 commemorative flag, Flags On Cars was able to donate $10,000 to The United Way September 11th Fund.
