Electrowatt Infra Latin America, which is part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group’s Infrastructure & Environment business group, has been awarded a feasibility study for a suburban railway line in the State of Mexico, Mexico. The 12 km long railway line with 11 stations is planned to be linked to the metro system of Mexico City. Awarded by the State of Mexico, the contract amounts to EUR 0.5 million.
The study includes conceptual design of the railway alignment, civil works and electromechanical equipment. Additionally, the scope of work embraces a demand study and an analysis of the technical and financial viability of the railway line. The services will be completed in autumn this year.
Electrowatt Infra Latin America has a large number of major transport projects on its track record. Projects have been carried out in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela.
