Millicom Agreement on Disposal of Columbian Operations


BERTRANGE, Luxembourg, NEW YORK and LONDON, Dec. 27, 2002 (PRIMEZONE) -- Millicom International Cellular S.A. ("Millicom") (Nasdaq:MICC), the global telecommunications investor, today announced that on December 24, 2002, it entered into a share purchase agreement with Comcel SA of Columbia and its parent company American Movil to sell Millicom's shares in its Columbian operations, Celcaribe SA, to Comcel SA.
