Kemira has decided to outsource its payroll office in Finland and the internal services of the Kemira House in Helsinki. The travel service function will not be outsourced but will be developed within Kemira.
Payroll services will be supplied to Kemira by Silta Oy and property service from ISS Palvelu. About 30 persons are now working in these functions, most of them in Helsinki. They will transfer to the employ of the service providers as so-called old employees and will retain their present pension benefits.
Silta Oy is a supplier of integrated services in personnel administration and is the market leader in payroll services in Finland. Silta employs about 200 people and had a turnover of 12.9 million euros in 2001. The company is owned by Novo Group Oyj, Varma-Sampo, the Finnish state and Sampo Oyj.
ISS Palvelut is specialised in facility services and is a part of the international ISS group. ISS Palvelut employs about 6,500 people and had a turnover of 170 million euros in 2001.
