Jaakko Pöyry Infra expands its operations in southwestern Finland


 
JP-Terasto Oy, which is a member of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's Infrastructure & Environment business group, has acquired HT-Rakennuttajat Oy based in Turku, Finland, thereby expanding its operations in the southwestern parts of the country. HT-Rakennuttajat specialises in project and construction management work. Following the acquisition the Jaakko Pöyry Group employs about 70 experts in the Turku area.
 
HT-Rakennuttajat Oy is the biggest company in southwestern Finland specialising in project and construction management. It has solid experience of construction management services for office, industrial and supermarket building projects, and of new building and renovation projects. Its key clients include retail chains, municipalities and public organisations in the local region. The acquisition complements JP-Terasto's national service mix, strengthening its local knowledge and service capabilities in the Turku region.
 
JP-Terasto Oy is Finland's biggest company specialising in project and construction management. JP-Terasto has a total staff of about 120. The company's offices in the domestic Finnish market are situated in Jyväskylä, Oulu, Tampere, Turku and Vantaa. In addition, the company has offices in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Tallinn. Its most important projects in progress include the extension of the Parliament building in Helsinki, the Eliel office hotel and the Tikkurila-Kerava railway project.
 
The Jaakko Pöyry Group's Infrastructure & Environment business group uses the brand name Jaakko Pöyry Infra. Its net sales for 2002 were EUR 123 million. The business group has offices in 12 countries and it employs 1300 experts worldwide.
