Sluggish growth in all Vaisala's main markets continues. Growth stagnated in the beginning of 2002 and continues to be weak in most business areas. Situation requires Vaisala to take measures to improve profitability.
During the strategy meetings that were concluded recently, changes in strategy was done for some businesses. This requires changes in business unit structures.
Based on this, Vaisala will start proceedings with the representatives of all personnel groups according to the Act on Co-operation within Undertakings in Vaisala's Helsinki office during week 16.
