Production testing at Seven Heads


According to a press release issued today from Ramco, well 48/24-6, the first of six production wells to be drilled in the Irish Seven Heads field, was completed  down to a total depth of 1,298 metres on 29 March.
 
After coring and logging, the well tested dry gas from Upper Wealden sandstone at a maximum rate of 34.3 million scf through a 128/64" choke and at a wellhead pressure of 565 psia. This is a test result far above expectations, Ramco says in its press release.
 
Start of gas production from Seven Heads is scheduled for the end of the year.
 
DNO holds a 12.5 per cent interest in the field through its subsidiary Island Petroleum Development Ltd.
