LUND, Sweden, May 12, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Precise Biometrics AB (publ) (Other OTC:PBMTF), developer and provider of world leading and user-friendly biometric security solutions based on fingerprints, and Cherry, one of the leading manufacturers of computer input devices, announced today that Cherry's Fingertip ID Board keyboard can now control access to computer systems by means of fingerprint recognition, through the use of Precise Match-on-Card(tm). The compatibility is made possible by Precise Biometrics' interoperable fingerprint technology, Precise BioMatch(tm), which works together with various security applications, smart cards and fingerprint readers.
The use of Precise Match-on-Card(tm) technology, i.e. storing and matching of fingerprints on smart cards, makes the Fingertip ID board, which is equipped with an integrated fingerprint sensor and a smart card reader, compatible with smart cards from all smart card vendors supporting Precise Match-on-Card(tm). To Precise Biometrics the compatibility means yet another sales channel for Precise Match-on-Card(tm) licenses and strengthens thereby the company's position on the biometrics market.

The compatibility between Precise Match-on-Card(tm) and Cherry's Fingertip ID Board is made possible through the use of Precise Biometrics' interoperable fingerprint technology, Precise BioMatch(tm), which works together with various security applications, smart cards and fingerprint readers.
