Nokia and Warner Music International take music mobile for the Nokia 3300

Nokia and Warner Music International today announced a new marketing collaboration to make music truly mobile for the Nokia 3300 music device. The collaboration - one of the first international campaigns between Nokia and a single music company - marks a completely new way for music fans to legally consume music content.

An inbox MMC memory card will include short music clips from emerging artists, as well as True tone ring tones, multimedia message templates and color wallpapers. The Nokia 3300 music device is the first Nokia device for the GSM markets supporting True tones, an exciting new way of personalizing the combined mobile phone and music device with real music samples as ring tones to alert users of an incoming call.

As an additional bonus, the Nokia 3300 sales packages will contain a CD-ROM of full-length tracks showcasing the talents of young, upcoming artists from Warner Music International, which users can download to their Nokia 3300 music device using the included Nokia Audio Manager PC software.

Nokia and Warner Music International will be promoting three bands in connection with the Nokia 3300:  A (www.a-communication.com), Harry (www.h-a-r-r-y.com) and Krezip (www.krezip.com). A's hard edged punk/rock sound has been on the scene since 1997 and with recent hits in the UK, they are making a name for themselves. Harry is a great rock/pop female performer from the UK, with an iconic style and a passion for being herself. Krezip, after starting life as a high school band, has been recognized as one of the major emerging Dutch acts.

Jay Durgan, Senior Vice President Marketing, Warner Music International commented; "Warner Music International are very pleased to be involved in this new marketing collaboration with Nokia, the world leader in mobile communications.
