Nokia demonstrates revenue-generating service solutions for broadband operators

SUPERCOMM, Atlanta, Georgia, June 3, 2003 - Nokia is demonstrating a number of key solutions that will enable broadband operators to offer subscribers a range of services. These services include broadband media services, multi-access fixed line VPN services, and efficient delivery of high bandwidth services to remote broadband subscribers.

In cooperation with Orca Interactive, Nokia will demonstrate the potential of broadband media services which can give service providers a plethora of attractive, high-bandwidth, revenue-generating content-based services to TVs or PCs. Media services will continue to drive revenues in the future and further increase the growing subscriber penetration rates globally.

Working with Redback Networks, Nokia is also showing a cost-efficient solution for broadband operators to offer VPN services over different access technologies such as Frame Relay, ATM and DSL. The Nokia offering enables these operators to fully tap into the new data revenue streams from SMEs and remote workers.

Nokia is also presenting the separately announced Nokia Remote DSL system solution that helps bring higher bandwidth DSL services to the remote subscriber market in a fast, easily deployable manner. The demonstration includes the Nokia Remote Deployment Cabinet and power source, which can be installed in remote geographical environments to reach the full revenue potential of the DSL subscriber base.

To view these demonstrations and others, come visit the Nokia booth # 23547 in Hall B4 at SUPERCOMM, at the Georgia World Congress in Atlanta.
