Exposing the Meaning of Revelation -- New Book Explains the Last Book of the Bible in Easy-to-Understand Terms

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo., June 11, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- The Christian Bible predicts end-time events in the book of Revelation. The last chapter of the Bible has been heavily studied throughout time, but perhaps never as completely as Jeryl L. Bennett does in his new book, Red Moon Over Babylon (now available through 1stBooks).

Red Moon Over Babylon is a verse-by-verse exposition of the book of Revelation. Bennett relies on textual analysis of every verse rather than placing the chapters in chronological order or providing charts. He writes it in the order the verses appear in the authorized version of the Bible. Laid out in a three-part format, the book includes a synopsis of the chapter with footnotes and references to other authors, an exhaustive outline of each chapter and a verse-by-verse explanation of the text.

"Red Moon Over Babylon will permit the reader to have a grasp of the Revelation, to understand the rise and fall of the Anti-Christ, to place the last things in order, to analyze their own theological positions on the Revelation," Bennett says.

Written in an easy-to-understand style, the book presents the text in three different avenues of thought. Readers are given specific expositions of each verse in order to fully understand the message of the last book of the Bible and the last days on Earth.

"(I)t deals directly with the events occurring in Iraq and the Middle East. Saddam Hussein considers himself to have the mandate of Nebuchadnezzar to control the Middle East. The current events concerning him and the United States open many parts of the Revelation to further understanding and investigation," Bennett states.

Bennett became a Christian at age 15. Concerned and interested pastors helped him begin studying the Bible seriously. He has diligently and carefully studied it for 25 years, keeping extensive notes along the way. Receiving two degrees from a Bible college in Missouri and a doctorate in theology concentrating on prophecy from a seminary in Louisiana. Bennett has pastored churches in Michigan, Missouri and Louisiana. He teaches a weekly adult Sunday school in Missouri, where he lives with his wife. He published The Amazing Red Heifer in 1998 and is preparing an exposition on the book of Daniel to be published in 2003.
