Telelogic Signs License Deal with Nordic Telecoms Vendor

Pilot projects initiated with the newly launched Tau Generation2

MALMO, Sweden, June 27, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Telelogic (Stockholm:TLOG) (Other OTC:TGIAF), the leading global provider of solutions for advanced systems and software development, today announced that it has signed a one year license agreement with a leading Nordic telecoms manufacturer. Under the agreement, worth E520.000 (4.8 MSEK), the customer gains access to a pool of licenses, including the leading requirements management tool, Telelogic DOORS and the visual development tool, Telelogic Tau. The agreement also includes professional services and training during the contract period.

During the coming year, the customer will initiate three pilot projects where the latest version of the development tool Telelogic Tau will be used. Tau Generation2 is based on UML2.0, the latest version of the modeling language UML (Unified Modeling Language), and was launched during the fall 2002.

"Despite the last year's decline, the telecom industry continues to be important for Telelogic," said Anders Lidbeck, President and CEO for Telelogic. "The need for efficient development tools is still very significant, but it is clear that customers today are incorporating fewer licenses in each deal. The duration of each agreement is shorter and is increasingly more closely related to the customer's budget period. When the telecom market recovers, the leverage effect for Telelogic will be considerable, particularly considering our new generation of development tools which has been well received by the market, and our existing customer relationships where the end users are trained on our products. When the deal size increases again, it will have a significant impact on Telelogic's revenues."
