DALLAS - Nokia has begun deliveries of its newest entry-level cdma2000® 1X handset, the Nokia 2270 phone, to wireless carrier MetroPCS, Inc. With these initial deliveries, MetroPCS will be the first carrier to offer the Nokia 2270 phone to customers. The phonebook can hold up to 250 entries, and also supports voice dialing for 25 of the most used numbers, while for added utility, the Nokia 2270 phone integrates an alarm clock and calendar. User-changeable Xpress-on color covers allow users to personalize the look of their phone, and two-way text messaging gives another easy option for MetroPCS subscribers to stay in touch.
