Neoware Appoints Industry Veteran to Head EMEA Business Development

New Positions are the Result of Neoware's Growth in Europe, the Middle East and Africa

KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., , July 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Neoware Systems, (Nasdaq: NWRE), the leading supplier of award-winning software, services and managed thin client appliances, today announced that it has appointed industry veteran Mark Jordan to the position of Vice President of EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Business Development. This significant new role within Neoware was created as a result of the company's sustained growth in the region and its commitment to further its investments in EMEA to drive additional growth. The company's success is reflected by the fact that it recently surpassed Hewlett Packard in thin client market share, and grew at nine times the rate of the market in 2002, according to IDC.

Mr. Jordan's primary responsibility is to drive business development and marketing activities in coordination with Neoware's regional business managers in the UK, France, Germany and Scandinavia. He will be driving new programs to continue to grow Neoware's business with IBM, as well as support existing European resellers and customers and targeting new business areas. Mr. Jordan reports to Peter Bolton, Neoware's Executive Vice President, EMEA.

Mr. Jordan brings years of experience within the thin client industry to his new role, including 13 years with Wyse Technology, holding senior management positions including Vice President & General Manager, EMEA. Mr. Jordan joins Neoware from Adtcom Network Computing AG, Neoware's pan-European distributor, where he was Vice President Europe Sales & Marketing. His extensive experience and knowledge within the thin client market made him a natural choice for this new role within Neoware.

"Neoware is enjoying a period of significant growth and is gaining market share against its competitors at an impressive rate. EMEA has played an important role in achieving this, which is why we are keen to capitalize on the progress we have already made and develop the region further," said Peter Bolton, Executive VP of EMEA at Neoware. "We were looking for someone who was not only able to cultivate exciting business opportunities, but who also had in-depth knowledge of the thin client appliance market. We have known Mark for a number of years and have always been impressed with his accomplishments and experience. We are confident that he will be a key player as we further penetrate the EMEA market and will contribute to the overall success of the company."

Neoware also recently appointed Karen Livingstone to the position of Marketing Manager -- Europe, and Keith Thomas as its IBM Business Development Manager. These are newly created roles within the company, designed to further Neoware's reach into the European market.

Livingston has vast marketing experience within the IT industry, her most recent role being Northern European Marketing Manager for Attachmate. As IBM Business Manager, Thomas will be creating and developing opportunities through Neoware's partnership with IBM. Prior to his appointment Thomas's career with IBM spanned 30 years, including his last position at IBM as the NetVista European Thin Client Business Development manager. Both Livingston and Thomas will be reporting to Mark Jordan and supporting Neoware's new business development programs.
