Stories that Speak of God's Influence -- Author tells true stories of events in her life that God has controlled and guided

WALNUT, Calif., July 16, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- A lifetime of experiences have been drawn together to form the inspirational book Simplicity of Love (now available through 1stBooks) by Ruby Serrano Schneider. She has included remarkable stories from her life and the lives of her family and friends, all occurring under the watchful, protective eyes of God.

Schneider never aspired to become a writer, but her experiences with divine providence inspired her to put her life on paper. "The Lord is the one responsible for these stories and I have recorded of how He brings things about. Even in the saddest parts of our lives, He is always with us, as you will see. It is all in the simplicity of His love for us and our love for him. He has no favorites," Schneider writes.

With stories ranging from life-threatening situations with children to the wisdom in the story of a tiny sparrow, Schneider relates her experiences with passages in the Bible and religious beliefs. She points out the role God played in her husband's cancer treatment. "He reveals himself in so many different ways -- whether it be in good times or bad," she writes.

Schneider writes that these stories are so astounding that she would not feel at peace if people did not know the impact God has had in her life. She writes that proof of God's existence is in the tangible things in life, and that these stories illustrate the power of God.

At 69, Schneider is a great grandmother and widow of nine years. An employee at Wal-Mart, she has endured a journey of hardship. She is confident that living through them has been the work of Jesus, and she continues to have faith in him daily. This is her first book.
