A New Testament Gift to an Old Testament Character -- Author's Revelations Offer Alternative View on Immortal Soul, Other Widely Held Christian Beliefs

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 6, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- For many Christians, the "permanent indwelling of the Holy Ghost" was first received in the New Testament. In his new book, The Glory of Joshua (now available through 1stBooks), author Felix Pinchevsky writes that Joshua, an Old Testament character, received this blessing when he followed Moses to Mount Sinai. Pinchevsky also ties this revelation in with others about the Christian belief of immortality and eternal Hell, revealing why these doctrines are false, he writes.

With the hopes of infusing life back into Christianity, Pinchevsky reveals his views about Joshua, the son of a Nun. For an Old Testament character to be infused with a gift from the New Testament is an innovative view nearly no one has attempted to explain until now. He offers a fresh interpretation of passages in the Bible they have long held as true.

Pinchevsky also discusses a new revelation of Christianity: The Doctrine of Biblical Cycle is a history at a glance, juxtaposing the "light of Joshua against the darkness of fallen Christianity," the author writes.

"Offensive, controversial, educational and entertaining, The Glory of Joshua is a new powerful revelation masterfully woven into an exciting narrative verse," the author writes. It reaches out to all Christians and offers evidence that refutes some of Christianity's deeply held beliefs about "Secret Rapture, Eternal Hell, Immortal Soul, etc."

Pinchevsky, born in Moscow, immigrated to Israel at the age of 10. He graduated from high school and served mandatory duty in the Israeli army. He later graduated from the University of California in Santa Barbara with a degree in physics. He published a post-war anthology of poetry after serving in the Israeli army after the 1983 insurrection of terrorists in Lebanon. After joining the U.S. Navy, he discovered "Salvation," later writing The Glory of Joshua.
