BETHPAGE, N.Y., Sept 18, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Anthony Piazza, vice president, business management and chief financial officer for Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) Airborne Early Warning and Electronic Warfare (AEW&EW) Systems business area, has been elected president of the Long Island chapter of the National Contracts Management Association (NCMA). Piazza, a long-standing member of the NCMA, will serve a one-year term as volunteer-president of this professional society.

Piazza began his career with Northrop Grumman in 1968. Since then he has held positions of increasing responsibility in contracts management and business operations, including director of business management for Bethpage Operations. As vice president and CFO of AEW&EW Systems, he oversees the financial operations of a worldwide, Bethpage-headquartered organization that expects sales of about $800 million in 2003 and plans to double that in about seven years.

Piazza holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Long Island University and an MBA in industrial management from the Polytechnic Institute, Brooklyn, N.Y.

The Airborne Early Warning and Electronic Warfare Systems business unit is part of Northrop Grumman's Integrated Systems sector.
