MATTI LAPINLEIMU APPOINTED TO KEMIRA'S INTERNAL MANAGEMENT BOARD


Matti Lapinleimu has been appointed as a new member to Kemira Oyj's internal management board to the position of Senior Vice President - HR from 1 October 2003 as Anne Haggrén leaves the company.  Matti Lapinleimu will continue in his current position as Executive Vice President of Kemira Service as well.
           
Timo Leppä, Vice President, Group Communications, will report to CEO Tauno Pihlava.

The following changes are made Kemira's service administration:
 
Eero Katajavuori has been appointed to the position of Vice President, HR, at Kemira Group Corporate Centre. He will be responsible for matters related to e.g. collective labour  agreements, compensation systems for wages and salaries, and co-operation in the company at group level.  Eero Katajavuori's current position is Vice President, HR and Personnel Service in Kemira Service.
 
Sirkka Leppävuori has been appointed to the position of Manager, HR Development, at  Kemira Corporate Centre.  She continues responsible for the project to develop the current systems for the payment of wages and salaries until 31 March 2004. Sirkka Leppävuori and Eero Katajavuori will report to Matti Lapinleimu.
 
Tuula Tervo has been appointed to the position of Kemira's Administration Manager,   Helsinki. She will report to Tuomo Kaipanen, Vice President, F&A, Kemira Service.
 
All the above appointments are effective as of 1 October 2003.
 
In the Group's Finnish sites the local HR service organization, currently run by Kemira Service, will report to the local site manager from 1 January 2004.   Personnel  employment agreements in the organization  will transfer from 1 January 2004.
