A New Word for a New World - Author Reveals Information Decreed from God

STERLING, Colo., Sept. 23, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- On Easter Sunday 2003, Maximilian Ingram was struck with blindness. He fell to the floor, awakening two hours later with a God-sent message he terms the "New Word." In Book of the New Word (now available through 1stBooks), Ingram captures this message, offering a controversial and eye-opening look at what could be a replacement for the Old and New Testaments.

In this account, Ingram includes explanations about the true nature of Hell and Satan; Hell is not a fiery underworld, and the devil is not really a shunned archangel. The true way to Heaven is by having faith in God and treating fellow men, the "brotherhood," with respect, Ingram writes. He also details the God-given necessities of the body and the unnecessary shame that comes with them.

Written for a society, which existed more than 1,000 years ago, the Old and New Testaments no longer provide the guidance needed for today's Christians. With his "New Word," Ingram offers a new message on life and spirituality and details the methods he'll use to spread God's new decree.

Ingram stresses that he is not a religious radical. An ordinary man who was raised Baptist and stopped attending church in his teens, he "dabbled" in practices such as Zen Buddhism and Greek philosophy. In recent years, he again took up Christianity, but has always been on the "cynical side" and has never led an "infallible, holy life."

"(I have) no idea why God would choose me to deliver his message," he writes.

Book of the New Word is his first published work.
