The Heart of The Divine Teacher's Message - Newly Released Book Shed's Light on the Concept of Reincarnation

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Sept.r 23, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- What is the essence of Jesus and his teaching? How can one truly understand his teaching? What do Adam and Eve represent? These questions and more are answered in author Jaded Ben Murshed's newly releases novel entitled Jesus and Reincarnation (now available through 1stBooks).

Jesus and Reincarnation sheds light on a forgotten and missing teaching of reincarnation of the soul, Murshed notes. "The story of the resurrection in the gospels must be understood in a spiritual manner," he adds. The teaching indicates that Jesus did not appear physically, but spiritually, which has been misunderstood for several centuries. This misunderstanding is responsible for the early Jewish community believing that Jesus offered himself as a sacrifice on the cross in order to establish a new covenant, the author explains.

Another topic in Murshed's book is the "fall" of man. "Adam and Eve represent the association of the soul with the mind," he notes. The "fall" occurred because man could not control the desires of the mind (the wild serpent within). In order to "liberate the soul from the captivity of the mind," Jesus taught his followers the religious practice of repentance. Repentance, or meditation, is a complete reversal of the direction of the mind from attachment to the world to the love of the unseen spiritual world, the author notes.

"Jesus did not rise from the dead with his physical body, therefore he was not the first fruit of the expected resurrection of all humanity, nor will he return physically from heaven in a second coming," Murshed states. What Jesus did do was "leave his body and come back to it as many times as he wished, ascending to the highest mansions of the heavenly father," he adds.

Unique and provocative, Jesus and Reincarnation eliminates the Jewish elements from the gospels and considers only Jesus' teaching and his message.

Murshed currently resides in Sacramento, Calif.
