SARASOTA, Fla., Sept. 24, 2003 (PRIMEZONE) -- Elite Flight Solutions, Inc. (OTCBB:EFLT) announced today that it is set to begin operations at its Sarasota International Airport facility. The company's hangar space will house up to six planes for traditional jet charter services.
The Company believes the Sarasota based charter operation is set for a growth phase as more charter business migrates to the west coast of Florida, from the traditionally strong east coast locations. This follows the population shifts that have occurred in the last five to seven years. The west coast cities like Sarasota, Naples and Fort Myers have seen an influx of upper-income residents drawn to the less-populous areas in and around the west coast of Florida. Traditional charter aviation is a multi-billion dollar a year business in the United States.
Elite has future plans to acquire three additional aircraft for the Sarasota facility. In addition to the current fleet, plans are to acquire a Cessna Citation II and Citation VII aircraft and a Challenger 601 aircraft. Elite's Alaskan fleet currently consists of four jet aircraft to service the air ambulance contract from Anchorage, Alaska.
With access to over 50 aircraft through marketing agreements in place with American Air Network, Elite will begin to compete with other major charter aviation companies for a share of the consumer and business charter market.
