Living this vagrant life for five years, Pon spends her young adulthood drifting from beach to beach and bar to bar in search of the ever-elusive love and affection she longs for. In her search, she finds that her attraction to older, domineering men often leads to abuse within her relationships. Born in South Africa, Pon was surrounded by ethnic and racial segregation as she grew up. At the age of 23, she left home and set off on her five-year journey. She now resides in New York City.
