Geographical data AND in VDO Dayton navigation systems

Rotterdam, 10 March 2004 - AND (AEX: AND) and Siemens VDO Trading GmbH have entered into an agreement for the integration of the AND Global Road Data for Eastern Europe, Africa and South America. The data will become part of the VDO Dayton in-car navigation systems through retrofitting.

With this agreement Siemens VDO extends its geographic coverage for its in-car navigation systems outside the currently available regions. The new regions, Eastern Europe, Africa and South America, are part of the digital maps offered by AND.

Siemens VDO expects to commercially launch the VDO Dayton in-car navigation system with the AND data in the near future. The first step for the parties will be to develop a conversion tool for easy integration of the AND data. Next extensive field-testing will be performed prior to the commercial release.
