Jaakko Pöyry AB, which is part of the Jaakko Pöyry Group's Forest Industry business group, has been commissioned to provide engineering services for the rebuild of Korsnäs AB's PM4 in Gävle, Sweden.
The contract includes project management and process, layout and mechanical engineering services for conversion of PM4. The services will be provided jointly by Jaakko Pöyry's offices in Sweden and Finland. The rebuild project is scheduled to be finished in spring 2005.
This assignment is a further manifestation of the cooperation between Korsnäs and Jaakko Pöyry, dating back for more than 30 years. Jaakko Pöyry has served as main engineering consultant for a number of major paper machine projects at the Korsnäs paper mill in Sweden.
The Forest Industry business group, operating under the brand name Jaakko Pöyry, had net sales of EUR 176 million in 2003. The Forest Industry business group has offices in 18 countries and employs some 2100 experts worldwide.
