New Discount Structures for NetCom's Corporate Customers

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, April 01, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- TeliaSonera's subsidiary in Norway, NetCom, is introducing a new discount structure for corporate customers. In conjunction with this, SMS prices are also being reduced by 15 percent.

"NetCom has acquired a good foothold in the corporate market and now has a 25 percent market share. With the new discount structure I am sure that we will be able to gain an even stronger position," says Morten Birkeland, Divisional Sales Director, NetCom.

The company is keen to adjust to the current competitive situation in Norway, focusing specially on small and medium-sized companies.

The size of the discount will be determined on the basis of the number of subscribers signed up by the company and will apply to national and international calls, SMS and MMS. Small and medium-sized companies with 1-49 subscriptions will receive a 5 percent discount. The new discount scheme will apply with effect from 1 April and will also apply to NetCom's existing customers.

NetCom also reduced its SMS prices for corporate customers by NOK 0.10 on March 1. This is equivalent to a price reduction of 15%. The new price is NOK 0.59 per SMS.
