The new 2-port module, with a speed of 2.5 gigabit per port, will enable broadcasters and operators with a faster network that can be expanded to more locations. Broadcasters and operators can take advantage of non-blocking on-board switching capacity, and interconnection of up to seven OC-48/STM-16 double-rings with one switch.
The new module enables operators and service providers to provide TV, Video on Demand (VOD), Internet, and Telephony over xDSL or fiber to the customers all with guaranteed QoS, and 95% bandwidth efficiency.
The new module when combined with higher bandwidth utilization of the Nimbra One switch provides operators with the lowest CAPEX and OPEX for the broadcasters and the operators.
