Integralis selects Nokia Secure Access System to mobilize its workforce

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., 14 June 2004- Nokia (NYSE:NOK) announced today that Integralis, one of the world's largest security system integrators, has selected Nokia Secure Access System (Nokia SAS) to give employees secure access to enterprise applications and data without the hassles and expense of special client software. Nokia Secure Access System is a Secure Socket Layer (SSL)-based virtual private network (VPN) solution that allows users to quickly and easily connect to e-mail, personal information management (PIM) data, and corporate intranets from any public Internet kiosk, terminal, laptop or wireless device.

Running on Nokia's popular IP Security Platforms, Nokia SAS leverages the same SSL technology that's been trusted to securely handle billions of e-commerce transactions online. Nokia SAS works in conjunction with an Internet browser, connecting people to important information they need without sacrificing network security, reliability or manageability.

"All vendors talk a great mobility story, but Nokia is serious about business and is making mobility a practical and productive reality for our employees and customers," said Stephen Raymond, security sales engineer, Integralis.  "People can connect where they want, when they want, thanks to the Nokia SAS solution. Our productivity is going up, while the total cost of ownership for Integralis and our customers has been dramatically lowered. The Nokia complete system approach makes for an inherently secure appliance that delivers superb performance, and is remarkably easy to implement and operate.  When it comes to ease of use and security, Nokia cannot be beat."

Integralis decided to use Nokia SAS after conducting an extensive search for a true, 'best-of-breed' SSL VPN gateway that could provide unparalleled security services. Integralis' deployment of Nokia SAS continues the long-standing relationship the company has with Nokia and its enterprise products.

Aside from easy implementation and manageability, Integralis chose Nokia SAS for two particular features that allow seamless integration for users and the IT department: the Advanced Access Control and the Client Integrity Scan. The Advanced Access Control is a sophisticated tool that determines the appropriate access levels for end-users, while the Client Integrity Scan performs a rigorous assessment of how safe and secure each end-user's terminal may be. Both features are unique to Nokia SAS, and demonstrate Nokia's commitment to provide the highest level of network integrity and security for its customers.

"Nokia's goal is to connect people, and through Nokia Secure Access System we're giving companies that powerful capability regardless of where employees are or what technology they're using," said John Robinson, senior vice president of Enterprise Mobility Systems at Nokia Enterprise Solutions.  "Using this technology, Integralis has increased productivity of its employees and customers by providing instant access to information they need through a simple and secure mobile solution. With Integralis' renowned expertise in identifying and analyzing security networks and systems, its selection of Nokia Secure Access System is a great endorsement of the strength and security of our offering."

The power of anywhere, anytime connectivity to vital information allows Integralis' employees and customers to be productive on a moment's notice. This type of connectivity is made possible through Nokia Secure Access System's clientless solution, eliminating the cost and support issues associated with client-based VPNs.  All that's needed is two clicks of the mouse for integrated authentication and users have access to the tools and information they need.

Nokia Secure Access System is part of Nokia's Mobile Connectivity portfolio of offerings, connecting any device to any content.  Nokia's complete portfolio of enterprise mobility products, services, and solutions offers customers the widest range of user connectivity options, whether it be from a mobile device, laptop, home PC or internet kiosk.
