Sciax and Spatial View Inc. Sign Letter of Understanding for the Development of 3D Imaging Solutions

BAY CITY, Mich. & TORONTO, June 14, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- UgoMedia Interactive Corp - (Pink Sheets:UGMI) (name change to Sciax Corporation pending) reported today that the company has signed a Letter of Understanding with Spatial View Inc. (SVI), a manufacturer of advanced 3D imaging technology. Sciax intends to explore opportunities that would integrate Spatial View 3D technology in the company's defense and industrial product offerings.

"We are very excited about our relationship with Spatial View and the capabilities we can potentially bring to defense and industrial remote viewing markets," stated Ken Smart, founder and President of Sciax. "Spatial View technology can be integrated with our Wolf Pack tactical remote viewing system as well as our Wolf endoscope products. Although Spatial View technology has not yet been integrated into our products, we believe it will be possible to deploy 3D imaging capabilities to help our customers with real world challenges."

Sciax intends to explore several opportunities with Spatial View. In defense, the company will test 3D technology in forensics and evidence recovery, reconnaissance, and in certain advanced simulation applications. In the industrial business, there are several areas for the application of 3D technology in remote visual inspection where precise positioning of endoscopes and the ability to measure object sizes or defects can be of critical importance.

"Years of research and development have resulted in the creation of technology that we believe will provide users with unprecedented 3D imaging capabilities, all without glasses or complex proprietary operating platforms. Spatial View's mission is the commercialization of this technology in partnership with companies like Sciax," stated Beat Raemy, CEO of Spatial View. "We are pleased to be working with Sciax in specialty defense and industrial markets where we believe Spatial View's technology has potentially broad application."

The Sciax Wolf Pack(tm) is a modularized opto-electronic remote viewing system used by law enforcement and military personnel. The reconfigurable, multi-operational design of Wolf Pack makes the system ideal for many applications in physical security, drug and contraband interdiction, tactical response and protective security. Wolf Pack electronics and optical components are built to high standards of durability, allowing successful deployment in harsh conditions that would prohibit the use of many conventional imaging systems.

Endoscopes, also called, borescopes, fiberscopes or videoprobes, are used in remote visual inspection applications by a variety of security and industrial users. In industry, endoscopes are used primarily by aerospace, oil and gas, manufacturing, and power generation companies. Endoscopes enable users to visually inspect hidden or inaccessible areas in circumstances where viewing with the unaided eye would be difficult or impossible. The opto-electronic technology used in industrial endoscopes is very similar to that of medical instruments which are increasingly employed in diagnostic procedures and minimally invasive surgery. Endoscopes have several security applications where they are useful in conducting contraband searches, covert surveillance, and physical security operations. Traditional industrial markets employ endoscopes in research and development, maintenance, and quality control environments.
