NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2004 (PRIMEZONE) -- Home Solutions Health, Inc. (Pink Sheets:HSHL), manufacturer of Hemorrelief, the patented, FDA-approved hemorrhoid treatment, announced today that they have sponsored the "Restless Restless Song Contest on the Howard Stern Show and have rewarded a $5,000 prize to its winner".
The contest originated from a song written by Vinnie Favale, VP of CBS Late Night Programming and Tom Gesimondo, KROCK Account Executive. When played on the air, the original version of "Restless Restless" was most unbearable, prompting Stern to challenge his listeners to improve upon it by creating their very own rendition. The station received entries from across the country and in every imaginable musical genre ranging from metal to rap to country.
Kevin Remuck, the First Prize winner and a member of a rock band, was thrilled to have his submission chosen above all of the thousands of entries received. He performed his beloved country version of the song live on the show.
In second place was a legendary crooner Robert Goulet, who joined the live show via satellite from North Carolina with a live performance of his rendition. Goulet has since become a Stern Show favorite and his entry has afforded him exposure to an entirely new audience and generation. The third finalist, Jeff Stillman, performed his adored Honky Tonk rendition.
The winners were selected in an American-Idol style format by an esteemed panel of judges that included Sony Records label executive Harvey Leeds and Warner Chappell Music executive John Tita.
Stern show regular Crazy Cabbie presented the winner's check along with a custom-made Hemorrelief trophy. All of the three finalists received a Hemorrelief unit as a parting gift.
"We are proud to be associated with the Howard Stern Radio show and are most pleased with the exposure that this venue has provided us to date. We feel that sponsoring this contest furthered our marketing goals and greatly supports our drive to educate the public about the advancements in the treatment of hemorrhoids brought to market by the introduction of Hemorrelief. People have come to think of hemorrhoids as an embarrassing condition whose only treatment is ineffective creams and suppositories. We at Hemorrelief intend to change all that," said CEO of Home Solutions Health, Inc., Steven Bingaman.
